Who we are.....

The McDonough Democrat is a weekly newspaper that was established in 1884 primarily as a way for members of the Democratic Party of McDonough County to express their views on different local issues.  Over the years it has had different editors and publishers, but the newspaper is still a vehicle for local news that is submitted by correspondents.  Almost all issues are stored on microfilm and available at the Bushnell Public Library.
